A Universal Approach to Bale Handling

Beverley based manufacturer Foster Sales Company offer a full range of bale handlers from classic roller based designs to the universal round/ square bale handler. All models are available through Foster’s nationwide dealer network.

Their top selling, ‘Classic’ bale handler features parallel, free running rollers on greasable bushes while the ‘Versatile’ adds spring (sprung?) steel bale spikes inside the easily removed rollers. Both will handle wrapped and unwrapped round bales and offer the driver an open view frame for added operational accuracy. The spikes will also accommodate a big square bale.

The star of Foster’s bale handling range, however, is their ‘Universal’ bale handler, which as the name suggests handles big square or round bales, wrapped or unwrapped. The smooth profiled gripper arm is adjustable to suit a wide range of sizes and avoids damage to wraps. The open view frame has spike bushes fitted as standard. Hydraulic hoses are also included.

Up to three unwrapped big, square straw bales can be stacked by the addition of a low cost vertical stacking kit. Although carried above the recognised loader height, the clamping action of the top gripper arm ensures safe handling.
